STEPS IN THE EYELASH Laminating PROCEDURE

1. Assessing the condition of the eyelashes and determining the duration of the treatment

Before the procedure, it is necessary to assess the structure of the client’s eyelashes and determine the processing time based on the following criteria:

Group 1: thick or straight eyelashes.

• Serum 1: application time 6–10 minutes.
• Serum 2: Leave on for at least 6 minutes.

Group 2: medium-thick or thin eyelashes.

• Serum 1: application time 3–6 minutes.
• Serum 2: Leave on for at least 6 minutes.

The application time for Multivitor is 5 minutes for all types of eyelashes.

IMPORTANT! The maximum application time for Serum 1 and Serum 2 is 15 minutes.

NOTE! The effectiveness of Serum 1 and Serum 2 depends directly on the room temperature. The higher the temperature, the shorter the required exposure time.

2. Preparing the Eyelashes for the Lash Extension Procedure

1. Before the treatment, cleanse your eyelashes with ÉLAN DETOX-MOUSSE. Remove the foam with a cotton pad moistened with water.
2. Attach a silicone pad of the appropriate size to the upper eyelid.
3. Using the TM ÉLAN Professional Line setting gel and applicator, evenly arrange and secure the lashes on the silicone pad.

3. Creating Curl in the Eyelashes (Serum 1)

1. Apply Serum 1 to the area where you want to create the curl. Processing time: 3–10 minutes.

IMPORTANT! The treatment time must not exceed the time specified for that particular type of eyelash.

2. After the treatment time has elapsed, remove any excess product with a dry brush, following the direction of eyelash growth.

4. Setting the Curl and Direction of the Eyelashes (Serum 2)

1. Apply Serum 2 in a thick layer along the entire length of the eyelashes. Processing time: 6–10 minutes.

IMPORTANT! The processing time for Serum 2 must be the same as that for Serum 1, which was used to curl the lashes, but it must not be less than 6 minutes.

2. After the treatment time has elapsed, remove any remaining product with a dry brush, following the direction of eyelash growth.

5. Eyelash Care (Multivitor)

1. Apply Multivitor along the entire length of the eyelashes. Leave on for 5 minutes.
2. After the treatment time has elapsed, remove any remaining product and fixing gel with a cotton pad moistened with water.

NOTE! To achieve a more dramatic and visually striking result, ÉLAN professional line technicians recommend also dyeing your eyelashes after the eyelash lamination procedure.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR EYELASH CARE AFTER THE PROCEDURE

The first 24 hours after the eyelash lamination procedure:

• Avoid going to the sauna or tanning salon.
• Do not subject the eyelashes to mechanical stress that could distort the curl (for example, sleeping with your face on a pillow).
• Limit your eyelashes' contact with water as much as possible.
• Do not comb your eyelashes.

The first 48 hours after an eyelash lamination treatment:

• Avoid using harsh cosmetics.
• Do not undergo intensive cosmetic procedures, such as skin scrubs, peels, or laser treatments.
• Do not use alcohol-based facial care products.

Following these recommendations will help preserve the curl of your eyelashes and the results of the lamination treatment.

Absolute contraindications for the eyelash lamination procedure:

• Individual hypersensitivity to any of the product's ingredients.
• Any skin lesions in the eye area.
• Skin redness and rashes of various origins around the eyes.
• Visits to a tanning salon, laser treatments, or light-based treatments within the last 24 hours prior to the laminating procedure.

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Be sure to perform an allergy test before using the products.

48 hours before the procedure, apply 2 drops of each product to a small area of skin on the inside of your elbow. If no redness, swelling, or irritation appears during this time, you may proceed with the eyelash lamination procedure.

IMPORTANT!

• Serum 1 contains thioglycolate.
• Serum 2 contains hydrogen peroxide.
• These products may cause an allergic reaction.
• When working with these products, be sure to wear protective gloves.
• Do not use metal tools or accessories when working with these products.
• Avoid contact with the eyes.
• If the product gets into your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water immediately.
• If you experience an allergic reaction, consult a dermatologist.
