Schülke Rotasept 2L, disinfectant for rotary instruments

Intended for the manual cleaning and disinfection of milling bits, cutters, diamond grinders, and other rotating precision instruments. Thanks to its excellent material compatibility and broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity, Rotasept® is suitable for treating rotating precision instruments as well as steel and stainless steel instruments.

Instructions for Use

Rotasept® is a ready-to-use solution that is applied undiluted in the bur bath.

When using Rotasept® as a cleaning agent, place each rotary instrument in the solution immediately after use to prevent dirt from adhering to the instrument’s surface.

After treatment, rinse all instruments thoroughly with at least drinking-quality water or, preferably, sterile distilled or fully deionized water to completely remove any residue of the solution.

Final disinfection immersion time: 15 minutes.
To ensure optimal material compatibility, it is not recommended to exceed this exposure time.
Replace the working solution every workday or sooner if it appears visibly contaminated.
In accordance with national regulations, cleaning and final disinfection may need to be performed in two separate steps.
Do not mix with other cleaning or disinfecting agents.
Follow the instrument manufacturer’s instructions regarding reprocessing of instruments.
Material Compatibility

Rotasept® is not suitable for:

plastics sensitive to alkalis;
plastics sensitive to alcohol;
aluminum parts;
instruments manufactured using synthetic resin adhesives.

For the reprocessing of such instruments, the manufacturer recommends using gigasept® instru AF.

Use in an ultrasonic bath

Rotasept® is suitable for use in ultrasonic baths.

Always read the label and product information carefully before use.

Any serious incidents related to the use of this product must be reported to the manufacturer and the competent regulatory authority.

Keep the container tightly closed. Protect from freezing, heat, and direct sunlight. Store in the original container.

Do not use the product after the expiration date.

100 g of concentrate contains the following active ingredients:
1.6 g of potassium hydroxide,
10.0 g of propan-2-ol,
0.1 g of 2-ethylhexanol.

Labeling in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004:
< 5% nonionic surfactants.
